Integrated Reception Systems
Integrated Receptions System means that as the home owner you have a choice of TV programme suppliers, i.e. Sky or Freeview and you are fully ready for the Digital Switch Over. IRS systems would commonly be used in apartment and tower blocks.

MATV
Master Antenna Television Systems differs from IRS by offering Freeview and DAB radio only. This type of system would commonly be used in affordable housing, prisons, hospitals, guest houses, or any other type of environment where maximum TV channel choice is not priority. This type of system is very cost effective and still allows the viewer to access up to 50 TV and 24 radio channels.

SMATV
Satellite Master Antenna Television systems are designed for environments where the style and number of channels available need to be controlled. It can still offer the viewer a choice of Freeview and Satellite channels if desired; but is able to control the content. This system would commonly be used in Hotels, Care Homes, Holiday Parks, etc.
